About Jana Pedersen

I have worked in various lending capacities at Altabank for the past 10 years in both consumer and commercial roles. Currently, I am a full-time credit analyst and part-time student at Utah State University studying for a bachelor's degree in finance. I am interested in personal finance and helping people plan for their current and future financial goals. I enjoy working with people. For nearly eight years, I assisted homebuyers in navigating one of the largest purchases of their life... building a home. I walked borrowers through the loan process, as well as fielded questions and concerns that are a natural part of building a home. I used to tell borrowers, "My job is to make this process as easy for you as possible." One of my favorite parts of my job is finding an "out of the box" solution to each client's problems while keeping the bank's interests safe as well. This comes from asking questions and listening for clues as to what is most important so that we can tailor the solution to their specific needs. This also requires taking the time to know the client's financial situation, as well as bank policy, to make appropriate suggestions.I expect to graduate in December of 2025 and look forward to opportunities to continue helping people navigate the unfamiliar world of personal finance at that time.
