My career began as a bootstrapping hospitality entrepreneur where I started from point zero to recently checking off a bucket list item - acquiring & revitalizing the historic LaSalle Hotel & Speakeasy built in 1928.As life would have it, my journey since has led me circuitously to my one of my personal passions - Climate Finance. It is here where I look to answer what I believe is the great question of our era....How do we unleash capitalism, the most powerful weapon in mankind's arsenal, to combat climate change?In pursuing this answer, I am working alongside the inspiring Founder/CEO of CleanFund, John Kinney, who co-created what is now a highly successful $16B green finance program called PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy). CleanFund is responsible for the:- 1st C-PACE transaction- 1st unrated C-PACE securitization- 1st 144a C-PACE securitzation- 1st successful collaboration with a Green Bank (Connecticut)As a Managing Director at CleanFund, I am passionate about helping Governmental institutions, Developers, and Senior Lenders understand how their economic goals and climate change aspirations can thrive hand-in-hand.These stakeholders overwhelmingly look to CleanFund's unique expertise in helping them: - navigate the complex de-risking challenges of PACE- stay compliant with the unique state-by-state regulatory framework for PACE- craft tailored PACE product offerings that will provide long-term financial and sustainability benefits on both sides of the transaction.My goal is to help continue CleanFund’s legacy of pioneering clean energy financing by developing strategic partnerships, fostering innovation, and creating value for stakeholders, all while contributing to a more sustainable and energy-efficient future. Alongside my work with CleanFund, I am also the Founder of Worldspan, leading a highly talented and experienced team in creating an embedded Insuretech product around de-risking PACE for Senior Lenders.
