In this PhD, the understanding of shear and extensional rheology is explored for complex fluids. This comes in three stages, experimental work, modelling and finally simulation work.

• Increased OEE and production rate efficiency from SOP for a product moved from Ireland to the UK. This included organising tests to meet specification and improving processes to meet Geneva approval. • Industrialised costings and provided direction for new Max Factor products on SAP and worked with TPD, Planning, Finance and Engineering of integration of new lines and monitored project timelines. • Validated and created process documentation for start-up, changeover and shut down of new lines while travelling Nenagh, Ireland. • Supervised and led start up teams for line trials, working with shop floor factory teams, creating processes for production and reviewing progression for improvements and to meet targets. • Consistently presented performance feedback with actions to department leaders. Checked production progress and lead post line trial meetings for future actions and consensus. • Managed line trials and first production runs with small teams to successfully meat demand and service.
