For over 40 years, I've had the privilege of serving the dedicated individuals who make up the public school systems of Texas. From conducting individual counseling sessions to delivering educational presentations for large groups, I've come to deeply appreciate the invaluable role these educators play in shaping the future success of our children. Early on, I recognized that my passion and purpose lay in supporting this remarkable group, ensuring their success was just as important to me as it was to them. My journey began as a part-time summer employee at the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), where I immersed myself in the intricacies of the pension system and surrounded myself with experts in the field. Through self-study programs and attendance at industry conferences, I continuously educated myself, always striving to offer the best guidance to those I served. I'm grateful for the mentors who believed in me and provided opportunities for growth and advancement in my career, including public speaking engagements that allowed me to share my knowledge and expertise with others. One aspect of my work that brings me immense satisfaction is alleviating the stress that many educators feel when planning for retirement. I take pride in showing women, and their families, how they can achieve financial success and liberate themselves from worry about their future. With a deep understanding of the pension system, I offer guidance to educators at every stage of their careers, from those just starting out to those on the cusp of retirement. My goal is to encourage them to retire to something fulfilling, rather than simply from their careers. Above all, I strive to create an environment where educators feel genuinely cared for and supported in reaching their goals. Trust is paramount, and I work tirelessly to build relationships based on mutual respect and a shared commitment to their well-being. By empowering educators to build secure financial futures and embrace fulfilling retirements, I believe I'm making a meaningful difference in their lives and the communities they serve.
