Planning, developing and implementing marketing and promotions for the business is a large part of this role. Create and execute yearly strategic marketing plan. Also communicating the skill and expertise of the services offered in a professional but also approachable way. My role also entails planning promotions and sales monthly for a year in advance. This includes sales numbers and goals, creation of promotion and both print and digital advertising material, printing advertising material and presenting material online through social media.The role I have includes graphic design in creating the salon and spa print and digital material which includes salon price menus both online and offline, gift cards, business cards. I develop and implement advertising and promotions through print and digital media, I formulate communications strategies to exponentially grow online presence through social media and website. I created and manage the salon website in a way that is search engine optimized and also interactive. I write and manage the beauty blog as well as monthly newsletter for the salon to increase business and attention to the salon as well as create another form of communication with clients.I also provide event management to the business. This involves seasonal open houses, beauty events that include tutorials, product awareness and community events.

Fine dinning serving experience. I train new employees and effectively manage and guide employees during large parties and events. I also take photos to post on the restaurant’s website, social media platforms and to print.

I am a photographer in my own business, Janalla Photo. I have strong skills in lifestyle photography with a candid, journalistic and classy style. I have a lot of experience photographing portraits during family photo sessions, engagement sessions and photographing weddings. I have published work in Snowboard Canada Magazine and SBC Business Magazine.

A strong knowledge of camera equipment and gear accompanied by a skill in photography. The position entailed commissioned based sales. I focused on building personable relationships with my clients, getting to know them and their shooting style as well as what they wanted to use their purchases for. In doing so I would consistently close sales as well as ensure my clients were purchasing the right product for them.

This positioned entailed being ready to shoot anything from portraits to products when I walked into the building. I also needed to be prepared to go on site to complete different photo jobs. My job consisted of choosing many different products from outerwear, clothing, snowboard equipment and related equipment such as accessories and electronics. I also went on location to photograph lifestyle portrait images to accompany articles from different magazine issues.I contributed to both Snowboard Canada magazine (SBC) and the SBC Business magazine.I gained experience relating to the magazine process both in print and on a digital platform.
