I have been distributing my recent documentary: Joseph Brodsky: In the Prison of Latitudes. Brodsky was a Russian Poet who was made famous by an infamous trial in Leningrad in the early 1960's and was later exiled from his country and language. While living in the U.S. he won the Nobel Prize in Literature and was later made the Poet Laureate of the United States. He died in 1996 and is buried in Venice, Italy a city he visited numerous times during the winter months. I have screened the film in several countries and am beginning sales to University libraries and foreign TV stations.I am now working on a new documentary which highlights the unique ways the RoundRiver Conservation organization works with native people in the process of working on the preservation of the animals that co-habitat on the same land. They are also working with native people in Utah - specifically the Navajo tribe who have created an organization called Utah Diné Bikéyah (Navajo Sacred Lands) and are meeting with government officials, the BLM and the Depart of the Interior in Washington, to preserve these lands that are essential to the survival of the Navajo population. I have been traveling to the Navajo Reservation and interviewing individuals on who talk about what they gather and hunt on the Public lands of San Juan County that are not available on the dry land of the reservation.
