I work toward the alleviation of poverty. I'm a Social Entrepreneur, Educator and Facilitator and enjoy working in a complex world and enabling the people around me towards health and happiness. I am a director of The Fractal Entrepreneurship Foundation. We create powerful B2C social ventures that work towards sustainability by incubating people who would not have thought they could become entrepreneurs. We enable them to lift many others out of poverty by helping the less-abled do what only experts can do. We use an innovative incubation process and innovation process to achieve this.I enjoy the challenge of working with people to empower them to be leaders. I bring my skills and experience of 10 years as an educator to this project.I am also a Co-Founder of Sampoorna Ahara, A health Kitchen in India. We have innovated to find the best ways to cook food that heals. I was a young mother of a 2 month old when I started the bakery here and while there is now a wonderful team to manage it, I am privileged to be part of the impact that Sampoorna Ahara is making in enabling people to eat healthy and heal multiple lifestyle diseases. At the age of 12, I stepped out of mainstream education and started homeschooling with my family. Not having the limitations that curriculums and school systems usually have enabled me to grow and explore much quicker and in areas that I was actually curious about. At 16, I started working to connect children to nature.Once again, I found myself making my own trail since there wasn't really a college degree in this field. My work with GRIN (Growing in Nature) lead me to make impacts in international conversations, and conferences, and be featured in Richard Louv's book, "Our Wild Calling"Over the next 12 years, I have worked with over 60 different educational institutions. These institutions catered to various socio-economic classes, ages and locations, including the University of Minnesota and Azim Premji University. I have assisted multiple institutions in building curriculum and pedagogy to explore and build our human relationship with nature. I work through the pedagogies of Project Based Learning, experiential education, Play and Interdisciplinary learning.I was part of the team to set up the core curriculum and pedagogy of the first year of the undergraduate program at Atria University. The University is centred on Project Based Learning and building students' abilities to learn how to learn.
