During my tenure as the 5th President of the Rotaract Club of APIIT, I led a dedicated team in driving the club to unprecedented heights, achieving several noteworthy milestones:- Pioneered groundbreaking initiatives, including Project Unity Seven, which garnered international acclaim as the Most Outstanding International Service Initiative in South Asia.- Expanded our global footprint by attending the Rotasia International Conference, fostering valuable connections and friendships with clubs worldwide.- Secured prestigious awards such as Most Participative Club and Ms Olympus at the 33rd District Rotaract Conference.- Forged strategic partnership through the first-ever Twin Club Agreement and facilitated impactful youth and cultural exchange programs.- Recognized by Rotary International District 3220 as the President of the Month for July and awarded the title of Aspirational Leader of the Year 2023/24.- In total completed 55 projects that covered 15 of UN SDG goals and Rotary Focus Areas such as peacebuilding and conflict prevention; disease prevention and treatment; water, sanitation, and hygiene; maternal and child health; basic education and literacy; and community economic development.

During my tenure as the Director of Professional Development, I chaired several projects aimed at fostering personal and professional development within the community:1) Pro-Active - Informative session organized to educate existing and prospective Rotaract members about Rotaract movement and how Rotaract can help an individual to thrive personally and professionally.2) Voice for Her - A project educating individuals about women's rights, empowering women to advocate for themselves, and encouraging them to pursue their dreams despite societal barriers.3) Ecopreneur- webinar series to promote sustainable entrepreneurship in Sri Lanka, fostering a culture of innovation while addressing environmental challenges.4) Frosts of Love - Worked with individuals with Down syndrome and autism in Kandy, providing resources for them to create Christmas cards. The profits from the card sales were returned to the school to support their needs, fostering an inclusive environment.In addition to these initiatives, I led projects aimed at enhancing inclusivity and equality within the club and the wider community:5) World Down Syndrome Day: Coordinated a day of activities in partnership with the NGO One Stage for All Association. This included engaging sessions designed to enhance the cognitive and creative skills of children with Down Syndrome, along with outdoor games and exercises. A parallel session was held for parents, providing education and support, as well as essential dry rations and stationery.6) Thaithirunal: Organized Thaithirunal to celebrate the vibrant Thai Pongal festival, with the goal of promoting diversity and inclusion within the club and fostering a sense of community.
