Jacqueline Naranjo currently serves as the Senior Coordinator of Academic Support & Engagement for the Academic Support & Learning Services department in the Office of Student Success, Equity, and Innovation at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. In this role, Jacqueline provides institutional oversight on the implementation and compliance of Executive Order (EO) 1110 including Early Start and Bronco Scholars, a summer residential transition program based on the CSU’S Early Start Program. In addition, Jacqueline also provides leadership for the I AM FIRST program, a first-generation college student campus initiative intended to create awareness around the first-generation college student experience as well as connect first-gen faculty, staff and students through a mentorship program. Most recently, Jacqueline’s role expanded to support Bronco Navigators, a cross-divisional collaborative program that develops 2nd year students to serve as peer mentors to first-year freshmen and transfer students.Jacqueline is native to the Long Angeles area and proud resident of the city of Whittier where she grew up. Jacqueline earned a Master of Arts at California State University, Long Beach in the Social and Cultural Analysis of Education. Her research interests have focused on the importance of culturally relevant practices in urban education settings. Jacqueline also obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Ethnic Studies and Spanish Literature from University of California, San Diego and a Certificate in Spanish Interpretation and Translation from UCLA Extension.
