In her role as Manager of Employee Relations and Policy Administration, Jana delivered full range of support in functional areas of human resources including, management of policy administration, termination appeals, exit surveys, grievances, unemployment/Texas Workforce Commission hearings, investigations and training. She interfaced with various departments and delivered support in Legal, Recruiting, Office of Diversity & Inclusion, and Equal Opportunity, Compensation, Organizational Development and Training, Employee Assistance Program, Leave Administration and Benefits to facilitate support of the departments’ requirements. She managed a team of four Sr. Employee Relations (ER) Representatives serving 14,500 classified employees involved in training leaders in the areas of on-boarding, performance management and appraisal, reorganizations, policy and procedures, requests for disciplinary review and disciplinary actions. Selected highlights of this role include: Reduced corrective actions by 54% and increased retention by 17% through the implementation of consultation plan and processes. Developed training for leaders/supervisors in talent management; including resetting the clock, retaliation, conflict resolution, behavioral-based interviewing and selection, managing improved performance, and performance evaluations as development tools. Ensured paperless process by successful implementation of electronic OnBase ER record system. Developed monthly data metrics report for business leaders regarding recruiting and first year retention, talent development and management, and strategic planning. Received PACT Pin (represents excellent customer service in Problem solving, Attitude and ability, Communication, and Team work). Maintained records and compiled statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and turnover rates.
