After completion of Masters in Psychology and Certification in Creative Movement Therapy, I intend to be an active Creative Movement Therapy Practitioner. This has motivated me to address both individuals and groups with CMT towards wellness.Creative Movement Therapy Association of India (CMTAI): I support CMTAI as a team member with its activities. Apart from helping them in putting up regular workshops I also contribute in organising and marketing the Annual International Conferences, Annual Courses. It gives me opportunities to take up consultations or projects catering to children, adults with psychological needs.One of the projects that I currently head with it's support is Samhati, which is a Remedial Dance/Movement Training for Special Educators. The module suits special education, covering the techniques and benefits of therapeutic movement for gifted children. I am a CMT Consultant at Astitva School, (Bangalore, India) delivering weekly therapeutic movement classes, addressing various therapeutic goals through movement and prepare them for a social performance. I also take up need based individual consultations for gifted children. I am a consultant in Sinchana Foundation (Bangalore, India) delivering Movement Therapy sessions for groups of gifted children. At Samhitha Academy, I facilitate Creative Movement Therapy for a set of teenage girls who intend to indulge in the ‘process to product’ approach. They are enthusiastic movers who desire to use movement to heal self and others. They will express the same process as a social presentation by the end of the course. At the same school, I am resource dance teacher training primary students in different dance styles.I also worked at Little Blue Jays, delivered Behaviour Therapy to children with special needs under Autsim Spectrum, ADHD, Cerebral palsy, behaviour issues and so on.
