I tutor and teach mathematics to elementary school students who are behind in their schooling due to the pandemic and need extra help getting caught up. This involves creating lesson plans and providing practice questions for the betterment of their learning.

First year students are matched with senior mentors within the same program of study who will provide guidance throughout their first year and assist with the cultural transition to university life. Faculty lead mentors support their cluster of students, either mentors or mentees, and host meetings and one on one appointments to discuss their progress in their mentoring relationship as well as their journey being a post-secondary student.

I was the summer student in 2019 as a office administrative assistant. My job entailed answering phones, scheduled meetings between parents and Providers, researched and organized the 30th Anniversary event for the Whitby office, and assisted in document scanning and logging them in the company’s proprietary computer for future review and storage. I also performed clerical duties such as preparing correspondence, emailing, copying, faxing, etc., and completed verbal reference checks for new providers.
