As CTO in Kindred I started working with amazing team of 30 software engineers and project managers delivering websites and applications. We helped our customers with migrating their fractured website stacks into one system or delivered mobile applications.Now we are scaling to a team of 100 adding strong Veeva CRM and CLM competency into our toolbox. As CTO I try to help the team by creating environment where we all can deliver but also learn and improve. From time to time I also get an opportunity to code a bit for which I am really grateful as it helps me to keep my knowledge up to date.

I wear multiple hats as Software Engineering Lead - People Manager of ~10 people, JS Competency Lead and Delivery Lead working with our vendors- As People Manager I am responsible for 10+ developers. I prepare business cases for promotions and salary increases, work with teams on hiring and firing and collaborate with other people managers on evaluation and calibration. I help developers with personal and career development. - As JavaScript Competency Lead I drive improving our JS competency. I work with recruiters to make the competency shine inside as well as outside of the company, participate in hiring events, promote the organisation and help to hire talents we need. Together with my colleagues we prepare workshops for other developers, implement reusable tools and libraries or increase efficiency through automation. I also love to support our JavaScript community - either with content & talks.- As Delivery Lead I work with our teams and stakeholders on delivering products. I help with collecting requirements and assessing the product at the beginning and with the architecture, delivery and documentation later on.

As JavaScript Tech Lead my daily bread was to "Make help other developers being better and happier". I was participating in two projects, on both only as a regular contributor - quite the opposite of classic Team Lead. Through collaboration with others I got much direct insight into their problems and was able to create a connection which I then use in 1:1 meetings with them, helping them with their personal development and feedback. I was also participating in JS Community events, driving our JS Meetup.
