For this ZAR 10B+ agricultural services company providing financial support and solutions and operating in 11 countries, ensure optimal and tailored funding solutions for all businesses in South Africa and internationally. Provide financial and operational information to bank relationship managers and credit committees. Prepare short and medium-term liquidity forecasts and provide compliance-related information (FICA, KYC, FATCA) to bank compliance teams. Establish and negotiate new facilities for local and international operations and co-manage liquidity in offshore facilities.Introduced new processes to improve management of assets and minimize risk:* Optimized forecasting capabilities across all group entities by designing and implementing first cash flow models to create a consolidated picture of the business, understand each business’s contributions, and determine liquidity restraints. * Ensured more timely data gathering by creating an automated financial model in Cognos that delivered results in just a few minutes, expediting transfer of information to banks. * Played key role in deleveraging balance sheet hundreds of millions of dollars, creating a platform for significantly growing debtors books off balance sheet and saving company millions of dollars in interest by negotiating terms to convert short- and long-term debt into a new 15-year term debt consolidated into one facility. * Successfully managed restructuring of international business units and obtained approval from South African Reserve Bank for multimillion-dollar advance to the company’s newly established Mauritius Treasury center. * Negotiated implementation of multimillion-dollar facility in Mauritius to fund African business units and drive expansion strategy.* Created high-contact, educational, and transparent relationships with funding partners, virtually eliminating re-pricing or reduction of financing facilities, even during times of economic/market volatility.

Performed all due diligence investigations and reports related to acquisitions and divestitures. Led valuations on potential business acquisitions and liaised with Sponsors on all Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE)-related documentation and communication on disclosed transactions. Prepared analyst presentations for CEO and CFO. Selected in 2012 to be part of the launch team for GroCapital, the company’s corporate finance advisory arm, catering to internal M&A and valuations activity.Drove financial modeling and valuations necessary to optimize core assets and fuel business growth:* Built from scratch all business analysis models used by shareholders in the decision-making process to de-list company from the JSE.* Developed inaugural business valuation models, including WACC (weighted average cost of capital) calculations that were used for due diligence and updated quarterly.* Created models used for financial calculations to determine executive incentives and stock options.
