At UNICEF I was brought in to realign and further develop the communications strategy for social media. Together with all internal stakeholders I developed a new strategy with clear decisions concerning channels and content. Currently implementing this strategy and promoting strategic social media use across the organization, while developing an improved internal content production process.

Created and executed a strategic marketing and PR campaign for the exciting theatrical play Gevangenis Monologen. Reached national media coverage and managed to capture the momentum to drive ticket sales. This resulted in a sold out tour of 25 shows.

If you enjoy networking and communication as much as I do, lobbying for Dutch energy relations in Brazil is a challenge you can't say no to. Getting your message across to your peers is one thing, doing it in a new language, while learning to read between the lines in an entirely different business culture is another. I learned the fine art of diplomacy, and the jeitinho Brasileiro while enjoying this amazing country.

Organizing, project management, sales, marketing and lobbying in one job. In my two years at NCH I had the pleasure to work in a tight-knit and autonomous team. Our goal: Organize as many big trade missions and events as possible with the goal to provide key business opportunities for Dutch companies in Latin America. In this time we served over 300 businesses in 20+ projects. Highlights: Ministeral Mission to Brazil (2014), Mission to Panama with Mr. Aboutaleb (2013), Ministerial mission to Cuba (2014). If you think organizing a company trip to a trade fair is tough, try a week long trade mission to 3 Brazilian cities with 45 companies.

Very insightful and interesting time at the Ministry that was then realizing it should do more to harness the possibilities of social media. I was able to launch a Social Media project for colleagues using my communication background and affinity with marketing. Also had the chance to help organize a trade misson to Bavaria for Minister Verhagen and the Dutch automotive industry.

During my Masters International Relations I wanted to keep a link with my Communucations and Marketing background. At Studio/K I found the creative and free environment to launch crazy concepts and work on my copywriting skills.

At FRTRSS (back then calles Fortress Social Branding) I had the chance to work in a startup environment. I was responsible for selling social media campaigns and services to clients in the entertainment industry. As social media marketing was a brand new field, I was able to pioneer many new ideas, and landed top notch clients such as Sony PlayStation, FOX, Playlogic, Mojo and Microsoft Xbox. I learned more about sales in my year at FRTRSS then I could have in 5 years at a large firm.

At Traffic4u, market leader in online marketing in The Netherlands in that time, I got my first experience as a marketing professional. I couldn't have started at a better place, Traffic4u was an exciting scale-up with excellent internal mechanisms for training and knowledge sharing. In order to support our sales teams in Amsterdam and Madrid I organized workshops and events, and I was closely involved with rebranding the agency. But after a bit over a year, my yearning for a more fast-paced position led me to venture into a startup in Amsterdam.

My first full-time work experience I gained working at Edelman Barcelona. For those in PR Edelman is an institution, and the Barcelona office is no exception. I learned the basic principles of PR from some of the best at Passeig de Gracia, all the while learning Spanish and some Catalan as well. Clients: Costa Cruises, Nicorette, Foot Locker.

As my first volunteering job I was PR advisor of Saidia, a foundation aimed at offering education opportunities for students from developing nations. Our main projects involved fundraising through events, and through the launch of a nude calendar that gained national news coverage.
