I launched two web-based knowledge bases, one for an inventory management system used by oil and gas terminals and another for a process control system used by a variety of industries to remotely monitor and control equipment. Duties included researching and recommending the knowledge base software, designing the customer interface, implementing security procedures, preparing a content development plan, and writing and maintaining technical articles.

Working on a sales analysis application sold to mutual fund and REIT customers of DST’s transfer agency system, I assisted in gathering business and system requirements for the conversion of a large, complicated client. Post conversion I became a Crystal Reports developer to support custom reporting needs for multiple clients.

I assisted in the design and implementation of print applications for DSTO’s three regional operational facilities. My main duties included project management, design and implementation of a platform migration project, as well as data analysis used by senior management for application migration planning.

Applied Communications Group (ACG) was a Kansas City IT consulting firm specializing in technical communication and knowledge management solutions through documentation, web development, and programming. I served many roles at ACG, including consultant, project manager, and corporate principal. I often managed the work of other team members on multiple projects on top of completing my own client projects. I also participated in office administration, sales and marketing, and human resources tasks, as needed.
