My interest in the welfare of children began years ago. As a high school teacher and coach, I was a mentor to many of my students and athletes. To my delight, I am still in contact with several of them today. I have sponsored children in developing countries, and served as a court appointed surrogate parent to two young siblings in the Arizona foster care system.I have always dreamed of creating my family through adoption. My vision became a reality in 1999, when the adoption of my son, Joshua, became final. The Trilogy of 9 Lives books were inspired by our lives together. They are fictionalized novels appropriate for preteens, teenagers, and young adults. My goal in writing the series is to raise awareness of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, FASD, which negatively affects 1 out of every 100 babies born in North America.

Co-owner and Hospital Director of Cimarron Animal Hospital, a small animal hospital in Tucson, AZ. We were members of the professional organization, American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).

I served as the Director of Sales for the Residence Inn (RIBM) in Greentree (Pgh), PA, then was promoted to Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for RIBM, and finally transferred to General Manager of the property in Tucson, AZ. I also developed and taught sales training courses for the company.
