Jan Daga is an Italian documentary photographer and filmmaker. He has lived and worked in Asia for more than eight years, based in Bangkok.After a degree in communication/advertising and a master’s degree in digital communication, he worked in the world of advertising, photography and journalism in Milan. After moving to Asia, he followed the events and created projects related to the social, human rights and political spheres, following the major protests in Korea, the political clashes in Thailand and the problems of Hong Kong, among others. When he’s not reporting, he works for fashion and advertising with a real passion for portraits.His long-term projects related to these countries have received numerous awards and have been exhibited at international and national festivals. Among others, exhibitions at BACC Museum of Modern Art in Bangkok, Sea Junction Foundation, Prix de la Photographie in Paris and important publications related to social issues in Thailand during the Covid period for a project on resilience. He currently collaborates and has collaborated with some of the most prestigious universities in Thailand. He has published three internationally distributed photographic books: Whisky Boom Boom, Seoul Nightshift and Likay.​Other awards have included several awards in the professional categories of IPA, Alghero ASPA, Prix de la Photographie PX3, Tokyo photo Award, Brussel Photo Festival, House of Lucie Bangkok and Thailand International Competition.​His work and assignments have been published in national and international magazines.
