Associate Professor
Assistant Professor
Research in discrete mathematics, including finite geometry, algebraic graph theory, coding theory, and applications in data science. Teaching duties include courses in linear algebra, mathematical analysis, mathematics for data science, and computeralgebra.
Lecturer (10%) And Postdoctoral Researcher (90%)
Research in finite geometry and related topics. Further development of the software package FinInG (http://cage.ugent.be/fining). Cooperation with colleagues from University of St. Andrews to further develop algorithms for HPC-GAP. Restricted teaching duties.
Postdoctoral Fellow
My research still focusses on topics in finite geometry. During this fellowship, I will investigate in detail algebraic techniques to study direction problems in affine and projective spaces. The final aim to obtain new results on substructures of polar spaces applying the results in affine and projective spaces.
Lecturer (10%)
On a temporary contract base, I have been teaching linear algebra (2012-2013) and mathematical analysis (2013-2014).

My research focusses on topics in finite geometry. Finite Geometry is a field of mathematics. In finite geometry, geometrical structures with a finite number of objects are studied. Combinatorial, algebraic and group theoretic techniques are used. Intersting cooperation with authorities in the field of finite geometry leads to the use of more algebraic techniques.
