Thueson Consulting is a design and build firm with focus on green restoration and construction. Our exclusive client list is based primarily in Washington, DC and Manhattan and ranges from homeowner to business owner. As consultants we work closely with the client to establish a path to completion that incorporates their ideas with sensible design solutions. The year 2009 will mark the beginning of an expansion into the solar energy market and affiliation with Akeena Solar, one of the nation’s leading panel manufacturers. Thueson has a degree in Environmental Science from the State University of New York at Delhi. His design credits include development of an earth berm passive solar, envelope theory housing project in the mountains of West Virginia that set a regional standard for geothermal and passive collection in 1979. Restaurant business projects include development of CB Driscoll’s Restaurants, 1989, Hard Day Café, 1995, Reality Bites, 2003, Border Burrito, 2007.Anders was the founding Food and Beverage Director for the exclusive Stonewall Golf Club, Lake Manassas, Virginia following a long career as a Department Manager and Executive Chef with Marriott Hotels and the Charter Resort at Beaver Creek Colorado. In 1983, while at the Charter, Thueson was chosen as host Chef for President Gerald Ford’s World Conference and in 1998 he was Food Stylist for the Discovery Channel’s hit series Home Matters and did pilots for Conde Nast’s Epicurious.Thueson’s passion for food and design is equaled by his love of art and music having produced over a dozen festivals as founding President of the Hudson Valley Blues Society in 1996 and later for his work with the Gallery Series, “New Art 2002” that featured thirteen of NYC’s top abstract and multimedia artists including Franck de Las Mercedes, Alex Mendoza and Michael Krazowitz. In 2008 he produced the twelve week “On the Border Songwriter Series” in lower Manhattan.Specialties: As a writer, Anders gained notoriety for his work as the food writer for DCity Magazine, DC One Magazine and as a project manager for Menus.com in Washington DC from 1999-2002.
