Over the past two decades, I've had the privilege of creating and producing more than 3,000 events that have left a lasting impact across Africa and beyond. From the vibrant shores of Miami Beach, Angola, Nigeria, Uganda, DRC, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Zanzibar, Cameroon, Gabon, United Kingdom, France, USA, Belgium, Romania, Switzerland, Brazil, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Rwanda, Madagascar, Seychelles, to the historic Gorée Island in Senegal and more, my work as the International Channels Head for BET Networks International, Head of Marketing, Digital and then Executive Producer Events for MTV Networks and Viacom Africa, and since OAS1SONE and Rockstar, took me across the continent, bringing to life some of the most iconic events in modern history. Whether it was MTV Live Tours featuring global superstars like John Legend, Will Smith, Ludacris, Akon, and Jay-Z, or unforgettable moments like the "Water for Life" campaign with Jay-Z in Angola and Tanzania, these experiences continue to resonate as legendary, even two decades later. In Davos, Switzerland, I produced the World Economic Forum's first-ever MTV official after-party, marking a historic collaboration that showcased Africa's best talent on a global stage. This event was a pioneering moment in Africa's cultural breakthrough on the world stage. My time at MTV allowed me to collaborate with creative visionaries like Coodie Simmons, Chike Ozah, and Director X, and to work with legends like Talib Kweli, Femi Kuti, and Youssou N’Dour. From filming music videos at Lagos' iconic Shrine to hosting Grammy-winning moments in Senegal, my work has always been about elevating African voices and talent.I also produced the first major concert in the DR Congo during an ongoing civil war, featuring the first U.S. international artist to perform in the country—hip-hop superstar The Game—on a sold-out tour that spanned Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, and DRC.As the founder of OAS1SONE and The Rockstar Group, I led it to be recognized as the Number 1 music marketing company in Africa by MIDEM, with features on CNN, The Source, Huffington Post & Billboard. Our work has been instrumental in pushing African music onto the global stage, earning accolades and driving success stories worldwide. My passion for Africa's content creators continues to shine through initiatives like the Music for Wildlife Concerts, where we've partnered with Wild Africa and WildAid to host over 150 events across the continent, blending music with conservation efforts & Human Health campaigns to raise awareness and combat Neglected Tropical Diseases.

They haven't been working in some kind of a shadow and their achievements have been recognised," said Mongela, who is the past president of the Pan-African Parliament and a veteran politician in Tanzania."By this award we are honouring the women of Liberia and the private sector that is contributing to the development of their country," she said, noting that presidents of the award recipient countries were always ready to be appreciated for the results achieved towards implementation of the SDGEA.According to Mongela, the award is given to a country with a very strong commitment to gender equality. The issue of violence against women is a pressing one in African societies, spanning across borders and perpetrated in various forms such as physical, sexual, emotional and psychological while it tends to increase dramatically in conflict and post-conflict situations. A high-tech sound and lighting system imported from France for the occasion made the artists sound good and look dazzling. The Festival venue was Demba Diop football stadium in the Sicap residential neighborhood of Dakar. 6,000 to 8,000 music fans gathered each night, cheering, dancing and hanging out with friends until three in the morning in a peaceful, alcohol free environment. The talent selection and production basics were supported by the marketing and execution expertise of Coca-Cola, which specializes in sponsoring sporting and musical events across the continent.
