Teaching supporting statementSupporting Statement I am a conscientious, reliable, committed, dependable, punctual individual. I take pleasure in ensuring that learning is done appropriately and that the well-being of the individuals in my class is paramount, safe, and protected from harm and abuse to ensure that the individual sees the importance of learning and to ensure that learning takes place at the right time to those that are willing to learn as pupil are essential and should be allowed to achieve in life if they are eager to learn. I am a motivated individual that likes challenges and thrives in achieving targets. I am accustomed to meeting tight deadlines, organized with practical leadership skills, and can adapt to different environments I find myself in. I am also open to staff development. I am an excellent communicator with interpersonal skills contributing significantly to my success.I decided to go into teaching, especially in the care industry, after having completed my post-graduate program and given birth to a child with a disability, which made me drop my profession as a teacher of religious studies and go on a full-time carer for my son. During this time, I had no choice but to take a care job to finance myself and my family, which gave me more time to learn about care and do some vocational qualifications. My son started attending special needs school, which gave me time to care for others that needed my support and maintenance. With time, he became independent, and I realised that I could do more in my community; I then became a scheme manager, but I still felt something was missing. So, I decided to merge my teaching career with my new-found career. So, I took up a new assessing course, which is A1. At the end of this course, I started teaching health and social care as a subject in further education colleges and with Learning providers. I have worked as a health and social care assessor in further education colleges, where I ensured that pupils were treated as an individual that should be listened to and respected to enable them to meet their potential by teaching them the value of being responsible for their actions and being able to defend what they believe in. Also, to know their weakness and not be ashamed to seek support where necessary. I gave permission as much as possible and used their strength to encourage and bring out the best in them. Could you ensure the pupil understands that everything is possible if one is teachable and determined to learn?
