A highly motivated individual who is passionate that children and young people have every opportunity for enjoyment, achievement and health and well-being. I am equally keen that vulnerable adults who come into contact with public services are treated with dignity, respect and compassion. I have a background within the National Health Service, beginning my career as a Registered General Nurse holding a variety of posts within hospital and community settings and then moving to general management and policy, gaining qualifications in management.I have led a number of children’s service reviews, reconfigurations and developments of new services. I have been a key contributor to joint agency strategic planning, commissioning and an advisor to delivery. led on the development and implementation of all aspects of policy relating to children’s services and adults at risk. I work very closely with other statutory and non-statutory partners to ensure that children, young people and vulnerable adults and their families receive the care and services they need.In addition I have worked with the Department of Health supporting them to design, deliver and project manage a range of products relating to safeguarding and vulnerable children (including those with disabilities and those in care). I sit on a number of national groups and have been a member of a range of steering groups developing policy.
