As the IFAM Governance and Ministerial Group Lead, I worked closely with the IFAM Program Director as the central point of contact between the International Freight Co-ordinator General, the Australian Government Freight Controller and the Austrade Executive and the Trade and Tourism Minister’s Office. IFAM was a $1.06bn fixed term Australian Government COVID-19 relief and recovery program supporting farmers, fishers & primary producers’ export businesses in the pandemic.Responsibilities: -Managed a program team to ensure valued and quality services and participation in IFAM leadership and decision making- Led responses to requests from the Minister’s office, other government partner agencies (state and federal) and industry stakeholders including exporters and the freight and logistics sector including delivery of weekly data and market intelligence briefing report, Senate Estimates briefings, Ministerial submissions and Cabinet submissions and ad hoc Ministerial and agency correspondence- Delivered secretariat functions for IFAM governance boards - Managed monthly strategic project and risk management processes and reporting to Austrade executive - Coordinated consultancies and program evaluation- Responded to exporter and other stakeholder enquiries including close liaison with all of the IFAM team

Responsibilities:- Deliver high quality policy, strategic and governance advice to Health Performance Council, a statutory Ministerial advisory body that is South Australia’s only review body providing independent, expert monitoring of population health outcomes and health system performance that supports accountability, information transparency and public trust- Provide intellectual, strategic and autonomous leadership and direction to the Health Performance Council operations, and run a secretariat to ensure valued and quality services- Plan, develop, implement and manage strategic projects to identify and monitor key drivers in the health system, that enable the measurement and benchmarking of performance, development of activity analysis and measurement and analysis of trends- Lead the development and coordination of a comprehensive four yearly report for the Minister for Health and Wellbeing on health status of South Australians, the operation of the health system and effectiveness of methods used within the health system to engage communities and individuals in improving their health outcomes as required under Health Care Act 2008Achievements:- Delivered Health Performance Council’s 4-yearly report in December 2018 tabled in SA Parliament in April 2019 outlining the health status of South Australians, changes over time, and Ministerial advice on high impact changes to improve outcomes. - Led the continuous improvement of council operations, including introducing regional council meetings and stakeholder forums, achieving excellence in accessibility of meeting communications, and maintaining full council delivery through COVID on-line working environment- Managed and developed collaborations with stakeholders to inform council analysis and engage through events and meetings. Collaborated with Wardliparingga SAHMRI to co-host Aboriginal Leaders’ Forum. Grew the SA Data and Analysis Information Network on data analytics and digital health initiatives.

Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategic policy for the Attorney General’s Department (AGD) including specialist policy advice to executive, government officials and Criminal Justice Sector Reform Council - Analyse SA crime statistics and trends, evaluate justice programs and research crime and justice issues through the Office of Crime Statistics and Research (OCSAR) and publish the work- Administer the community safety and CCTV grant programs, financial reporting and evaluation- Represent AGD at national advisory groups and in government and stakeholder relations on key committees of Australian governments including negotiating the National Partnership Agreement on Legal Assistance and community legal centres and SA Senior Officers Group for Aboriginal Affairs.Achievements:- Implemented the Disability Justice Plan including commissioning the specialist interview training curriculum and delivery; designing and implementing Communication Assistants for alleged offenders with complex communication needs; developing and reporting on key performance indicators; and providing the annual review and symposium to report to stakeholders- Initiated the first ever quarterly publication of cross-government performance measures on the criminal justice system through the Criminal Justice Sector Reform Council (SA Cabinet committee)- Delivered proof of concept report on Justice Reinvestment in South Australia; and implemented the ‘re-Boot’ intervention program for young offenders using an outcome-based contract with NGO provider with Department of Treasury and Finance funds to prototype a social investment project

Key program responsibilities: strategic leadership of national policy programs to improve clinical training in Australia including National Medical Training Advisory Network (NMTAN) www.hwa.gov.au/work-programs/clinical-training-reform/national-medical-training-advisory-network; and related streamlining of clinical training funding, activity based funding for teaching and training, driving efficient and effective clinical training, and management of short term employment demand for new graduate nurses and doctors.Key capabilities: - leading HWA’s clinical training reform policy team including building in-house policy, program and project management capacity, utilising large scale change methods for improvement and knowledge management activities - writing, analysing and developing policy advice for a range of audiences including HWA Board and key committees of Australian governments- managing the budgets and financing of projects including grants and procurement processes, tender evaluation, and contract negotiation and management- representing HWA at national advisory groups and in government and stakeholder relations
