Responsible for a number of supports across Essex, supporting up to 52 individuals across the area. My main responsibilities is to ensure Thera and our staff delivered a quality and proactive service to the individuals we support. This involves developing training programmes, supporting managers and meeting with both internal and external agencies. In addition I had to work within budgetary constraints, and when the County Council reduced funding I had to reassess the services and reconfigure our structure. In addition to this I had input in other areas of Thera East where we are developing services. I led for Thera East on The Forensic Support project , researching and looking at how we can develop our services for people that are highlighted within this field. Part of this role is to develop a comprehensive strategy for the organisation. I also lead on three other projects. Firstly a fast track management project, working with other charities to enable selected candidates to gain valuable skills and knowledge to become competent and experienced managers and then designing our own in house fast track management programme. The second project is overseeing the development of community support in a highlighted area within Essex. My final project is enabling a group of people whom are in the wrong home either due to environmental or compatibility reasons and enable them to move home and or live with people of their choice. All projects enable me to continually remain challenged and enthusiastic to improve services for all people regardless of needs.

Secondment within the HR team for the Thera group to lead and work on strategic projects which all subsidiaries within the Thera Trust group would be involved in and implement, This involved liaising and working with all leaves of management within the different companies that make up the Thera Group as well as researching a number of different areas relevant to the strategic projects. Key Achievements: Devising an internal Talent programme for staff with the drive and passion to make a difference in the social care sector. Offering them additional internal and external resources that nurture and enable individuals growth and development. Developing a recruitment tool kit that enables all recruitment to be person focused and individually tailored to the support needs whilst meeting compliance requirements as well as organisations policy and procedures. Devising, planning and delivering training to all managers within the different Thera Groups relating to a software package that enables online timesheets, recruitment, leave requests , real time information and other functionality. Developing managers induction and competence guidebook and a comprehensives induction training package,

I worked in a variety of supports within the local health authority supporting people from elderly to complex needs and people whom challenged , as well as dual diagnoses. I was responsible for up to 7 homes which supported up to 30 people .My main responsibilities were to ensure that correct services were provided to the supported people and that staff of varying levels received the correct training and development. I had budget responsibilities and managed supports through periods of change from hospital care to supported living. liaising with a number of multi professional members , commissioners, social care providers and housing associations. Key Achievements: -enabling people to move from hospital care to supported living -Changing large residential homes to personalised smaller supports -working as part of a multi professional team - budget management - Training and supervision of junior staff
