Generalist Occupational Therapist in the Copper Coast region servicing upper Yorke Peninsula and surrounding areas. Mainly focusing on adult disability and aged care, however willing to consider other areas of occupational therapy if required for clients.

Working with veterans through the Department of Veteran Affairs Rehabilitation Program. Assisting with achieving clients medical, psychosocial and vocational goals.

Current duties include:-Working in the Australian Defence Force portfolio with a variety of musculoskeletal injuries, mental health conditions, metabolic conditions, chronic pain, obesity and cancers. -Completing initial occupational needs assessments using the biopsychosocial approach.-Developing Occupational rehabilitation programs to assess it ADF members to be able to return to their full pre injury duties, to suitable alternative duties or to assist with the process of medically discharging from ADF.-Case manage ADF member through their rehabilitation programs, liaise with their Units, supervisors, medical staff, treating health practitioners and Specialists as required. Liaise with family members, Department of Veteran Affairs and other organisations as needed to ensure the ADF member is well supported.-Empowering ADF members to advocate for themselves and to assist in developing their resilience in workplace situations. Brainstorming with members on possible solutions to their issues. -Assisting members to remain on track with their rehabilitation, ensuring they are reviewing with appropriate health professionals to achieve their goals.-Undertake ergonomic workstation assessments for ADF and other government departments.-Undertake Activities of Daily Living Assessments for ADF-Mentor and train new rehabilitation consultants on the ADF portfolio.

Mainly working within Residential Aged Care facilities, undertaking a variety of assessments, reviews and interventions, including mobility and transfer assessments, initial assessments, fall reviews and fall risk assessments.

Working part time. Undertaking initial assessments with children of various backgrounds and abilities. Developing and implementing interventions, and undertaking therapy sessions at schools and at homes to help children achieve their potential.

Currently working within the Australian Defence Force portfolio and with other Comcare clients.

Completed a Masters in Occupational Therapy (Graduate Entry) at the University of South Australia.
