I am a dedicated and meticulous HR people leader with over 27 years’ experience in the logistics sector; 18 of those years have been spent partnering with senior teams to support corporate growth through the design and implementation of effective people programmes. I started my career with Import Services and held an operational customer focused role prior to being given an opportunity to move into HR. In 2018 Import Services was acquired by Xpediator Plc and became Delamode International Logistics in 2021. It was at that point I took a broader role as part of the Group HR team, supporting other Logistics companies within the Group who didn't have their own HR provision, in Essex and London, and Regional Express, a freight forwarding and Amazon fulfilment service provider also located in Southampton.During the course of my career I have gained a breadth of HR experience, contributing to organisations at both strategic and operational level when delivering people management strategies. I am skilled at challenging and driving performance across business functions through exemplary people and organisation practices, providing HR business partnering up to board director level. I led the accreditation of Investors in People in 2007, which has been successfully retained since then and have been involved in many different projects from leading the implementation of a Group HR information system, supporting the introduction of an HR shared service platform as well as managing the integration of different companies under one new brand, leading employee engagement surveys and implementing leadership development programmes.I qualified with my CIPD Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management in 2016 and became a Chartered Member of the CIPD in 2017Following a couple of years of significant change, my key focus in my current as Head of People is to drive higher employee engagement; creating and maintaining an inclusive culture where everyone has a voice, understands how their role contributes to the success of our business and has the opportunity to develop. I believe that people are the most important part of any organisation, if you get that bit right, the benefits to the company and it’s customers is huge.
