CurrentProvides strategic planning, services, support and communication for UC's centralized research computing and data services, including data transfer, data compute/analysis and data storage. Leads the development of the University of Cincinnati's first High Performance Computing (HPC) center. Responsible for funding, budgeting, service development and internal/external partnership development. Communicates and facilitates access to the capabilities and services of local, regional and national Cyberinfrastructure tools and services. Secured over $1.6M external and institutional funding to develop advanced CI infrastructure at UC, including UC's Advanced Research Computing Center, Science DMZ, CI and Data Science workshops/training. Develops and delivers data and computational science training and workshops in collaboration with university libraries and the Office of Research. Synergistic Activities and VolunteeringTechnical Director, Project Management and Vendor Management - SC19 Conference Planning Committee, SCinet Subcommittee. Manages relationships with over 35 technology and services vendors who are providing $65M+ in equipment to build the SC19 conference network. Oversees 12 project teams and PMs and overall Program Management of the SCinet network architecture, planning, implementation process.
