Honorary Executive in Residence at Sheffield Hallam University and Sheffield Business School. Working with the university to support students in understanding the needs of disabled people across all subject areas, specialising particularly in accessible tourism.

I am the Co-Founder of Accessible Derbyshire, a UK registered charity (charities no: 1155675) whose aim is to improve the lives of disabled people, their families and carers, living in or visiting Derbyshire and the Peak District.At its heart is a 'one-stop' website: www.accessiblederbyshire.org which showcases the best in accessible leisure and tourism in the area.

I was a Director of The Accessible Training Company, which re-branded as Access For All UK in September, 2017. This re-branding was to better reflect the broad range of services we provide.

I designed and presented Autism Awareness training as part of the hospital's drive to improve awareness of disability and disability-related issues in the light of the 'Six Lives' report into the provision of public services to people with learning disabilities.

Whist on Career Break I led the 'Pool For Megan And Her Friends' appeal raising over £1 million pounds for a specialist therapy pool at Ashgate Croft School in Derbyshire which was then attended by my severely autistic daughter Megan.At the time this was one of the biggest fundraising appeals in the country and one of largest by a school in the world. In recognition of my efforts I was awarded a Derbyshire County Council Excellence in the Community Award in 2007.

This included facilitating the training and development of the company's 70 'line' facilitators. I was also responsible for the company's Graduate training programme. Whilst here I spoke at an international conference on Continuous Improvement in Paris and won the Pontifex Award for excellence in the steel industry.
