I spent many happy years working in advertising agencies DDB and Ogilvy, and between those two agencies ran the digital marketing agency Tribal DDB. In 2006 Philippa Roberts and I wrote our first book which introduced the world to the idea that marketing to women might need rethinking. Since then, we've been lucky enough to work with some brilliant clients. We've conducted thousands of research groups, interviews and moderated many workshops over the our years as PrettyLittlehead. We've been privileged to see close up, how the lives and attitudes of women have undergone seismic shifts. We're currently working on a new model for marketing to women post #MeToo, 'femvertising' and in a new more gender fluid culture. I am regularly interviewed about changing female lives and identities. I have been interviewed by Martha Carney on Radio 4, by Jane Garvey on Woman’s Hour , and by Lauren Laverne on Late Night Woman’s Hour . I have also appeared on Channel 4 News Extra and been interviewed by Dawn Porter and Rosie Boycott for the BBC. Our most recent book will be published by Penguin on February 18th 2021. The book pulls together insight from our 15 years researching women, a global survey of 14,000 women, a significant content analysis conducted across three countries. It provides a state of the nation study of marketing to women and provides ten principles to winkle out the unconscious bias and develop marketing that connects powerfully with female audiences.
