For 14 years, I served as Co-Founder, President and Fashion Fairy Godmother of Hollywood Fashion Secrets (HFS), the company that created “Style Essentials” -- a new retail category in the fashion & beauty industry aimed at delivering useful, everyday tools/secrets that help women solve their daily styling challenges and side-step wardrobe malfunctions. The company was founded in 2001 with its first product, Hollywood Fashion Tape® – the original Fashion Tape – a revolutionary product aimed at helping women keep their garments perfectly in place. Since its launch, HFS sold more Fashion Tape than any other brand – over 40 million feet of tape – enough tape to stretch from New York City to Milan and back again. HFS had distribution in 25 countries with products available in 30,000 retail stores across the U.S. HFS was featured in Allure, People StyleWatch, Women’s Day, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, The Zoe Report, InTouch and InStyle, among others, and HFS’ Fashion Tape received the coveted Allure’s “Best of Beauty Award” and the Best New Product award in 2009 from ECRM. HFS items were featured in swag bags for the Oscars, Golden Globe Awards, Emmys, New York Fashion Week and New York’s Fashion’s Night Out, as well as seen on such TV shows as The Today Show, The Talk, Dr. Oz, Real Housewives of New York, Hoda and Kathy Lee and Donny Deutsch’s The Big Idea. Notable awards: Runner up for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and 2015 List of People Shaping Retail’s Future, Dreamer category. In May 2014, the HFS team collaborated with Stacy London, co-host of long-running hit fashion reality show, What Not to Wear, and new show airing on TLC: Love, Lust and Run. Stacy served as HFS Style Ambassadress, a key role in sharing these secrets, tips and tricks with women everywhere. It was an honor to work alongside this style icon. In August 2015, American International Industries, Inc., in Los Angeles, CA, acquired HFS.
