Duties and responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to partners and solicitors in the management of personal injury cases, such as motor vehicle accidents, public liability, workers’ compensation, total and permanent disability, and income protection- Assist in the preparation and drafting of legal documents, claim forms, and correspondence- Conduct interviews with clients to gather information and provide them with regular updates regarding the status of their case- Conduct interviews with witnesses and assist in the drafting of witness statements- Regularly correspond with insurers and/or their solicitors- Request, review, and summarise client’s medical records, financial records, and any other documents relevant to the case- Arrange medico-legal appointments and prepare medical briefs- Prepare briefs to counsel- Maintain case files, such as medical records, accident reports, and any other relevant evidence in an electronic filing system- File documents with the court- Research relevant legislation and case law and stay up-to-date with any changes in the law- Train other paralegals and participate in relevant professional development activities
