I am delivery lead for several commissioned community providers across Children’s services, including a multi-lot commission- Community Matters. I am project lead for several Wirral based projects to test and learn what works for families based on feedback from significant consultation undertaken with Wirral families.I led on a phase 1 Government funded project to reduce parental conflict on Wirral. I am lead officer in phase 2 for a combined Liverpool City Region and Cheshire East project using pooled funding. I lead on a Home Office funded project delivered by local community organisations and private therapists to deliver high intensity child, adult and whole family therapy to Wirral families. I pro-actively support all aspects of working in partnership to achieve the best for the children and families of Wirral and wider Merseyside area.

Well I’ve had a bit of a role change! Our Community Matters group of local commissioned services workings together to support Wirral families has, after three fabulous years, come to an end. I have been privileged being delivery lead for this multi-faceted contract learning a lot from our time together. We say a fond goodbye to that model of working but not goodbye to those brilliant organisations who continue to work alongside us providing great services to Wirral families.The learning gathered from families about how they want us to help and empower them to enjoy happy, healthy family lives has put us in a superb position to move forward, being both innovative and changing how we deliver our early help services.So, from 1st April Wirral Children’s Services introduces a new way of commissioning, launching in complete partnership with several excellent local providers the ‘Family Toolbox Alliance’. I am proud to be the small cog in this big wheel which will begin to roll and shape how Wirral parents exercise choice in how they access tips, information, advice and personal help which is local to them and meets the needs they identify using reflective self help tools.See the fabulous new website www.familytoolbox.com I’m also delighted to have started working within the North Birkenhead community on another outstanding, long term project Cradle to Career, a project partnering local authority, Steve Morgan Foundation and Right to Succeed to deliver a combined whole community, education and social model of working with families at a very local level. The project is demonstrating impressive early results and has all the hallmarks of stimulating significant change in how multi-agency working can be applied to deliver long term sustainable improvement for our children and young people from the cradle to career! Final word as project lead to my partner LCR LA’s upon achieving all workforce development goals to reduce parental conflict, using combined DWP funds!
