OK Studios is a not for profit charitable organisation which provides artists studios and associate membership for professional artists in the North West of England.

A professional, practising artist with 25 years experience exhibiting, collaborating and organising events and exhibitions. Self employed since 1997, devising and managing Fine Art projects in and around the North West.Jane Fairhurst’s work encompasses a wide range of media including drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, photography and film. She makes work that explores environmental, political and social issues in contemporary society.A collaborative and curator artist she has worked with museums, galleries and artists to bring together archival artifacts, multi media installations, films, photographs and publications exploring concepts of utopia, dystopia and heterotopias.The transformation of found objects is central to her practice; "Using objects that have had a previous life, a history, satisfies both my need to tread a little lighter on the earth and my fascination with the process of transfiguration of objects from their origins into art; a contemporary alchemy."As director of Office Kollective Studios, Wigan, she uses her organisational as well as artistic skills to develop networks and dialogues with artists and curators to support collaborative practice amongst artist communities.www.okstudios.org
