Language has followed me from school and been something I have always been passionate about. I am a qualified translator who has been working in the translation sector for global translation companies throughout my career.I have been involved in the translation world for a long time now in various capacities - covering project management through to global sales and account management roles. I am a successful sales person and sales manager and am constantly looking for a solution that best fits with my customers needs and solves their problems, now and in the future.I am a strategic thinker, results driven and a frustrated marketeer. I love to get involved in marketing and being disruptive with ideas and topics within the language world.I have a passion for coaching people - I love to see people grow and be successful. My greatest achievement is my son. I have 2 border collie boys who keep me active and are a huge part of my family. Flyball has been a big part of my life and is such an exciting sport and community to be involved in.     When I first took on this challenge the backbone to my role and responsibilities was sales methodology focusing on enabling our sales organisation to sell smarter and working to develop a lead generating sales engine, who would become our future super stars.I worked with my management team to build a scalable, standardised process across the global inside sales teams, with the main focus of building pipeline for our global sales organisation, across all solution sets. Sales support adds significant value to any organisation and this team is the first interaction that our customers have with SDL so a team we need to invest in and support.The other string to my bow was to design a training program to ensure our global sales team have the tools in their kit to sell SDL solutions and work with our customers to solve globalisation challenges. We worked to develop a global program suitable for all cultures, and supporting external partners as well as our internal sales team, covering the entire solution set - developing materials to support technical sales as well as more service related offerings. I was also in charge of embedding a sales methodology into the sales and account management organisation - delivering transparency, structure and a standard way of working.Now these projects are in play I am focusing on taking our sales methodology to the next stage, analysing data to understand where we need to focus to add more value to the pipe and to our overall sales processes. As one of the key advocates in the business I coach and support the sales team with the sales methodology and guide and advise on when and where to ensure they get the value of this and it becomes part of their selling DNA. This role has enabled me to develop change management skills and a good understanding of the requirements, pitfalls and elements to consider when executing any change at any level in a business.
