I have a diverse combination of skills with ten years experience as a researcher with a Ph. D in pharmacology, including two years of post-doctoral experience in the field, plus over 25 years in the television industry as a sound mixer and studio manager. I have extensive laboratory experience, working both independently and as a team member. Through various projects, including several funded programmes, my time spent on these projects has helped develop not only the critical thinking and research ability necessary to solve complex problems, but also my ability to communicate them effectively. More recently I have been a studio manager at Wounded Buffalo Sound Studios, a busy sound studio in Bristol specialising in blue chip natural history. My previous experience as a dubbing mixer plus the many skills I have learnt as a scientific researcher have equipped me to meet most challenges head on in this role, including designing and implementing a project management system, writing website content, health and safety and technically complex tendering.
