I have recently finished working at Red House Independent School, Norton, Teesside, UK, after deciding to pursue my interest of setting up a rural tourism business in Portugal, which is now not relevant in the current climate! I was Head of Physical Education at the Junior School and a classroom teacher as well as a Wellbeing mentor/OT tutor for SEND children. I was also the founder and Manager of Rising Stars Performing Arts at Red House. I have developed my skills and experiences in the classroom and beyond to a very high standard. This is most recently highlighted in the Red House School ISI inspection report. I always use my creativity and initiative by trialling new and current educational theories, strategies and ideas such as Mindfulness, Yoga, Drama and e-learning to give my children the widest range of experiences, knowledge, skills and independence in order to ensure their early and primary learning years are fun and enjoyable enabling them to develop them into well-rounded, confident and independent individuals with a zest for life and learning coupled with a sense of responsibility. I work proficiently and effectively both independently and as part of a team. I am a member of the World Alumni Choir and World Voices who performed in Prague in 2014 and 2011 and Sweden 2009 for the 20th anniversary of the World Youth Choir. I was the first British female singer to successfully audition and perform throughout Europe in 1989/90. I was the director and soloist in “Achord” Vocal Group who performed at gigs and competitions. We were reserve choir for tv’s “Last Choir Standing” and have backed the Emmy award winning Texas Tenors on their European Tour. I have also won “Sainsbury’s Choir of the Day” in Manchester, 2000 and Huddersfield National Female Choir Competition singing as a Rodillian Singer of Wakefield. I have sung with the prestigious Huddersfield Choral Society at the Royal Albert Hall. I was a member of the International Eisteddfod Orchestra as an adult violinist and the Cleveland Youth Orchestra who competed as Northern Champions at the Festival Hall, London.I have achieved Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music Grade 8 in Singing, Violin and Theory, Grade 7 in Piano and Grade 6 in Oboe.I was a member of the World Tang Soo Do Karate Association in Cambridgeshire and North-East and won Bronze in Dae Ryun (fighting) in the World Championship in Las Vegas in 1996, and in the European Championship in Rotterdam, 1997. I was British National Team Form Champion as part of a trio in 1996 training up to five times per week.
