I am an architect with 30+ years’ experience in the profession. I am passionate about design and the built environment. As a building professional, I take the responsibility seriously of ensuring buildings are as energy efficient and environmentally sustainable as possible.I know what it takes to see a building through from conception to completion. Good communication and ability to work in a team is vital. Navigating the complexities of Statutory Planning, Australian Standards and building codes, liaising with consultants, construction documentation, tendering and contract administration are just some of the skills I have developed throughout my career.In my role as Director at Allen, Jack + Cottier Architects I demonstrated excellent management skills, striving to ensure project teams worked to their best ability. At management level, I am pro-active and am always looking for opportunities to keep staff connected and engaged.My involvement in the not-for-profit sector, firstly through Architects Without Frontiers and then with The Anganwadi Project, has enabled me to lend my architectural skills to communities in need and mentor young architects along the way.
