As the experience designer on SendGrid's website team, I worked to shepherd projects through their entire development lifecycle: brainstorming with stakeholders, designing wireframes and hi-fidelity mocks, building/launching with our developers, and collecting qualitative and quantitative feedback from our users. Our self-service pipeline is our primary revenue channel, so a world-class website is a must—I contributed to this goal by developing and maintaining an effective, beautiful, and on-brand website to educate prospects about SendGrid.

I went through the TechStars program over the summer of 2015 and had the pleasure of working with the incredible TechStars crew day in and day out. Most of the work I did were design and development projects for the teams going through the program, so I got a good taste of a wide variety of projects and challenges. I redesigned a marketing site, helped conceptualize some new features, helped with branding efforts, and put together more pitch decks and investor decks than I can count. I learned a lot about time management, patience, and what it takes to get started with your own company.

Sportsy is a mobile and web platform that allows users to train with professional players and coaches to improve at or learn a new sport. In this role, I am responsible for designing incredible interfaces and experiences for our users on our iOS and Android applications. Though iterative, lean design and usability testing, I am working to revamp the UX of our current app and craft new features and campaigns that are both beautiful and easy to navigate. Additionally, I redesigned and rebuilt our web application (built on Django) and added the ability for users to view and follow our video training regimen on the web (whereas before, this was only available through a smartphone device). At E3, I worked on the web development team as a front-end developer both crafting new and maintaining sites for a multitude of clients, such as Avaya, Sunpower, Comcast, Denver Botanic Gardens, Corepower Yoga, and Kaiser Permanente.

Van Heyst Group (vanheyst.com) creates conferences and events geared toward solving problems, transforming companies, and influencing entire industries. I joined the team as an intern to help with digital marketing, branding, and web development for the World's Greatest Problem Solvers conference held in Boulder, CO in November of 2014. In this role, I created the site on the Squarespace platform, because I wanted to both build something quickly and build something that would be easy for the conference coordinators and VHG team to maintain.

Collaborated with my teammates to act as thought leaders for on-campus living by creating content for the Housing & Dining websites and social media outlets. The mission of this department is to make on-campus living an extremely positive experience for all students and to make the process of applying for and choosing housing as stress-free and straight-forward as possible. Primary responsibilities included interviewing students about the pains and joys of their on-campus experience and using that information to craft video, graphic, and written content for our sites and campaigns. Also tracked analytics for the Housing & Dining website.

Hired, trained, and supervised the program assistant team consisting of two other students. Worked directly with the Director of Residence Life and was primarily in charge of managing her calendar, taking calls, and other administrative duties. Created a variety of documentation systems for the department to streamline the financial and travel tracking process. Collaborated with the recruitment team to schedule flights, hotels, and tours for Residence Life job candidates.
