Responsible for making bank deposits, placing product orders with various vendors, opening and closing the store, as well as working the floor. Assist customers in answering any questions they may have about backyard birding and help with their purchases. Maintain store’s website by changing out pertinent information on a regular basis and send out emails to customers on store’s email mailing list. Also maintain store’s website for Beaumont, TX location.

Responsible for maintaining existing local advertising clients, as well as cold calling and developing new accounts for monthly social magazine.

Maintained major national accounts in the area. (ROP, preprint and online advertising.) These accounts were defined by having a local storefront with decision makers out of state. Account list created revenue between $350,000 to $600,000 monthly depending on the season. Position was eliminated in August 2008

Responsible for marketing new clients for small business accounting firm owned and operated by my husband and myself. Cold called area businesses and followed up with mail outs, followed by another personal visit to ask for their business.

Handled local accounts in assigned geographical area. Also cold called on new businesses, provided spec ads to clients and assisted them in planning their advertising schedules with the paper.
