My skills are either self-taught or came from job experience, though I have taken a year of college-level Computer Science. I've tried my best to pay it back by being a mentor to others at the places I work.I've made contributions to open-source projects for seven years and running, which has also overlapped with my work as a professional developer. As part of my work for Astral, I created, released, and maintained Ruff's integrated language server.
