About Jane Amos
Career GoalsMy goal is to contribute to my team by applying my unique combination of experiences, education, enthusiasm for collaboration and data science, and personal influence to helping to solve problems and overcome challenges. I am looking for a programming position along a career path towards working with real world data and applications. My past experience has been in Python, but my savvy problem solving skills and critical thinking are highly transferable. I am more interested in pursuing a great working environment suited to broadening my career potential than I am a specific stack. Personal Background-- Live Like You'll Die Tomorrow, Learn Like You'll Live Forever --This has been an inspirational quote for me especially during trying times. It is my belief that our priorities matter. Certain things last longer than others and are more rewarding. For me the best of these has been learning and good friendships.I love to learn, whether it's learning about an algorithm, figuring out a new game, or using a new software tool. My next favorite hobby is spoiling my loved ones with whatever I can think to do / get for them. It makes me happy to make someone else happy. My boyfriend and I have two cats. I love animals. I like to play board games, computer games, ride horses, color, and cross stitch. But by far the things I get the most satisfaction and long term rewards from are learning and fostering good relationships with good people. Though they all say I don't need to spoil them so much. Except the cats, they demand more tribute.
Listed skills include Petroleum, Data Analysis, Troubleshooting, Algorithms, and 41 others.

Calculator Testing Intern
I tried to "break" the calculator's logic using my knowledge of mathematics to see if all of the functions gave overflow errors, when appropriate and that they did not print bad calculations instead.I also worked on testing the capabilities of the new "notes" setting, and gave feedback on how I would like to use it as a mathematics student.
