I have 17 years’ experience as an analyst within the NHS having initially started on a 10-month contract back in 2007. My current focus is on providing intelligence in the areas of Acute Care/Hospital activity as well as being the lead officer for Data Quality within our team. Using SQL daily, I provide management information to inform service change/improvement; consultant/specialty level analyses; bed occupancy and ward level statistics; responses to FOI requests and internal information requests from clinicians, service leads, and executives. I have advanced Excel skills and am proficient in the use of SSRS, tailoring my responses and tools used to the audience and purpose. I have created a suite of Data Quality reports using SQL/SSRS which combined with my advice and training, has resulted in significant improvements in the quality of our data as well as reduced time wastage on correction of recurrent errors.
