My role within the shop included handling transactions, completing stocktakes, operating tills and training new members of staff. Consequently, demonstrating my strong ability to work both independently and within a team environment to ensure the best customer care is provided. Throughout my employment, I have demonstrated effective time management, hardworking nature and professional communication skills with customers, work colleagues and managerial staff to achieve a positive and effective work environment. As a result of the small work force one of my responsibilities involved having the ability to adapt to different roles across the shop floor highlighting my flexibility and adaptability.

I have been privileged to work at Dilworth as an international teaching assistant throughout the school day and a boarding matron within the boarding house in the evenings. My role involved motivating, encouraging and assisting the pupils within the junior campus to develop their ability and aspiration to learn both academically and individually within a safe and supportive environment. Through my effective motivational and communication skills I encouraged learning when assisting with both one-to-one learning and group activities. Using my organisational skills, and with the approval of staff, I worked within my professional limitations and facilitated and independently organised my own activities within the boarding house. The activities such as additional hockey practice and optional cooking lessons aimed to provide a fun, interactive cooking lesson to enhance the children's understanding, familiarity and enjoyment of food whilst promoting the basics of healthy eating in an informal and relaxed environment. Through my role within the school I had to communicate with pupils, parents, other members of staff demonstrating my capability to communicate to a range of individuals from various backgrounds.
