I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from UNC Greensboro in 2014, and my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UNC Pembroke in 2016. In April of 2016 I founded The Military and Government Counseling Association of NC that strives to improve the quality of and access to mental health care for our Military, First Responders and their Families! Since May of 2017, I have been practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Fayetteville. I have had approximately 3 years of combined experience as a Mental Health Intern and Administrative Assistant in Lumberton, NC from August 2015 to October 2017. As an LPC-A, I practice as an Outpatient Therapist in charge of a caseload under supervision where I handle client intakes, assessments, treatment planning, and community care coordination. As an Intern and Administrative Assistant, I provided assistance to clients with filling out their intake forms and assess their mental status to ensure the clients physical and mental wellbeing. I also have experience with scheduling client appointments, organizing client medical records, and assisting the front office receptionist when there was an overflow of clients, or when they were away from the office, as well as handling sensitive client information. I have served a wide variety of the population to include youth, families, and the elderly from various socioeconomic, ethnic, and developmental backgrounds. Some of my qualities include the ability to be personable while simultaneously upholding quality professional and ethical standards, my ability to work well individually as well as within a team, and my drive to stay well organized to keep progress running smoothly.
