I am an Owner/Creative Director/Designer of a Design + Advertising business in the Portland, Maine area. I service many upstart companies with brand identities, web sites, packaging design, collateral and advertising for their creative needs. I also service many advertising agencies with freelance services, mostly interactive website/digital design, advertising and collaterol design. I was Senior Art Director with an agency in Portland - Swardlick Marketing Group for over 11 years. Most notably, as the lead creative on The Maine Tourism account for over 5 years along with Bay Ferries - THE CAT, UNUM, L.L.Bean and many others. On a daily basis I was responsible for leading a team of Art Directors, Graphic/Web Designers and others to deliver innovative and successful creative solutions for our clients. These, often proven, solutions were always based on a clear strategic platform that was developed by the team to advance, strengthen and further promote the brand message in the marketplace. Most, if not all messages were and are delivered throughout a spectrum of media including web/digital, print, television, video and radio with the same identifiable visual and message. Delivered within time deadlines and within budget. I am always conscious of the needs of the client and I am always striving to improve the relationship. This work process is my standard for my Design + Advertising business. With over 20 years in this industry I am confident, yet personable when presenting and representing the creative concepts to our partners on the client side.
