I solve real problems with real data. I have extensive experience in real time sensor and signal processing in applications ranging from real-time 3D Vision and Autonomous Robotics to groundbreaking new technologies in medical monitoring. My focus is on acquisition, calibration and analysis of challenging large-scale datasets in order to extract actionable information for robust decision making and analytics.I have worked as a Principal Investigator and CO-Principal Investigator on multiple grants totaling $10+M on topics ranging from Immersive Image-based Virtual Environments to Robotics and Autonomous Vehicles in unstructured environments, and Intelligent Precision Medical Monitors. I have 60+ refereed publications and 4+ patents in these and related fields. I am one of two scientists (with Greg Grudic) who successfully took the Compensatory Reserve Index (CRI) monitor, the first non-invasive medical monitor to trend blood/intravascular volume loss, from invention through FDA de novo 510(k) clearance to manufacture and sales.
