I began my career as a receptionist, using a Meridian switchboard and taking calls and noting messages for approximately 120 companies. Other daily duties were to meet and greet clients and customers and direct them to their specified location within the Business Park as well as sorting incoming post. I was part of a team providing Sales and Services for on-site and off-site customers to utilise for any administration work, typing, photocopying, faxing and laminating and also staff were also provided to work within the customer’s own office environment to cover absences.I was later promoted to Supervisor for the Sales and Service Bureau, leading a team of 4 members of staff. I assisted the Sales and Services Manager with the overview of lease documents on a monthly basis and providing a monthly telephone report for clients for invoicing purposes. I also managed the conference facilities diary, ensuring that the customer was provided with all special requests with regard to room style, stationery, refreshments and network connection.My final role within Carrington Business Park was as a Sales and Leasing Assistant working alongside another Manager for the rental and upkeep of the Business Park phone system and rental of office and workshop space. In this role I provided a service to prospective tenants who were considering renting space on the Business Park, showing them alternative types of office/workshops, working with them to ascertain what assets and services were required and setting up lease documents for signature. I also worked with customers who made the decision to leave the Park preparing any notice paperwork, arranging temporary forwarding of phone lines and post and then, working with the maintenance department to ensure the office had been left in a respectable state before returning any deposit to customer.
