This was an exciting job experience and the catalyst to understanding customer service and being an ideal hospitality representative for the City of Atlanta. The Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau was one of the optimal gateways for tradeshows, meetings, family reunions, and conventions looking to book hotels throughout the city and large venues such as the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC). For most of my tenure, I served as the liaison between associations (clients), sales department, ACVB membership and the public sector to ensure the satisfaction and return of events to Atlanta. Having an excellent rapport with hundreds of hoteliers, several restaurants, and large venues such as the GWCC, Mercedes Benz Stadium, and Phillips Arena were vital to creating a favorable meeting destination experience. Some additional key accomplishments include:Increased exposure of Atlanta as a meeting destination by coordinating and executing all logistics for customer related familiarization tours which market Atlanta to potential clients which included: designing invitations, customizing invite lists, collaborating with industry partners for meeting space, flight and hotel arrangements for host and guest speakers.Coordinated and executed all logistics for meeting planner site inspections of the city, and pre-convention meetings with various suppliers Increased revenue for the ACVB and local economy by generating leads and definite bookings for the sales, registration and membership departments. Increased attendance for top conventions and tradeshows by executing pre-promotional marketing and attendance building programs.Served as a representative of the Atlanta hospitality community by attending 3-5 major trade shows each year.
