Served as a research assistant to Dr. Fox in organizing and maintaining the operation of his laboratory. Developed a strong working relationship from the beginning and given the trust to analyze the laboratory operations and procedures, and make/implement recommendations for improvement. Dr. Fox’s research and teaching focuses on “green chemistry”, environmental solutions, and the use of natural materials. His current projects utilize carbohydrates to improve the flammability, water resistance, and strength of materials. A major area of his focus was in developing commercial and industrial products using sustainable materials, including flame retardants, coatings, fiber reinforced plastics and the health and safety of nanomaterials. His research included the study of physical and thermal properties of room temperature ionic liquids and polymer nanocomposites.

Developed strong and diverse professional skills working with a dynamic, high growth company. Initially hired to work in the bar and kitchen, quickly earned the trust of the Co-Founders and given expanded responsibilities including the authority to recommend and implement initiatives, which improved the organization and efficiency of the business.

Performed multiple project managing functions to support the effective and profitable operation of the business. Reported to the firm’s owner, who is a known and respected name in the field, specializing in high-end, custom residential design. On-site installation support ensuring that the installation planning was meticulous and that hundreds of small details were executed with precision in a timely manner.
